Larry is an entertainer, author, and instructor in the field of balloon art. He has performed and taught ballooning in eleven countries and has been seen in venues including schools, festivals, rock concerts and television. He has written several books that teach everything from the basics of balloon twisting through advanced balloon sculpting techniques. Larry has been recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records and Ripley’s Believe it or Not! for his unusually large and creative sculptures. The show began years ago when he became fascinated with entertaining. In 1995 at the age of six, John commandeered his older sister’s magic kit. It wasn’t long before he was performing. Today, John performs at hundreds of public events and private celebrations every year. He focuses on using interactive magic, comedy, and balloons. Working with Airigami for a couple of years, he has been able to bring his performances to even more audiences throughout Western New York.

Smarty Pants and Miss Dena are Chicago’s favorite husband-and-wife entertaining duo. They specialize in creating unique, oversized balloon sculptures, as featured in the acclaimed stage production, The Big Balloon Show. Since 1998 Smarty and Miss Dena have performed at schools, libraries, community centers and most recently, for Nickelodeon and on WGN-TV’s morning news program. NEW ENGLAND – Jungle Jim Manning

Jungle Jim has been a family entertainer and professional balloon artist since 2004. Previously, Jim taught English in South Korea, and used the balloons as a way to communicate with his students. In 2006 he was invited to Balloon Manor, and helped build a haunted house entirely out of balloons. That launched Jim further down the road of the professional balloon artist/entertainer. In 2009, he was nominated for Boston’s Family Entertainer of the Year by Nickelodeon. Jim can be found performing How to Catch a Mouse in New England. Marsha Gallagher, teaching artistNORTHERN VIRGINIA AND METRO DC AREA – Marsha Gallagher

Marsha combines her many years as an entertainer, her formal education (including Master of Social Work and Master of Divinity), and her experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to deliver both fun and learning in her school programs. When not on stage, she has collaborated on major balloon art installations that have allowed her to raise awareness of her favorite art form while raising money for cancer research and treatment.

John Slack

RHODE ISLAND – John Slack

At this point in his life, John Slack describes himself as an edutainer combining education with entertaining story-telling, puppetry, and balloon art. John originally studied performance art more than 25 years ago in order to better educate his clients in the corporate environment. Discovering how much he enjoyed performing, he started a second career as an entertainer and has never stopped. His background in cultural anthropology and science has given him a unique approach to his story-telling and performance.

Miss Aimee the Balloon Artist

DALLAS/FORT WORTH TEXAS and surrounding areas – Miss Aimee the Balloon Lady

Miss Aimee the Balloon Lady began twisting balloons in 1997 while volunteering in Inner City Houston.  Over the next several years, she worked full time in Special Education while also working part time as a balloon artist on weekends.  In 2007 she decided to make balloon twisting her full time career & graduated from Clown School at UT Arlington in 2008. Miss Aimee combined her love of entertaining with her love for teaching in 2013 as she began performing educational balloon shows at elementary schools and public libraries.  With several years experience as a balloon artist and a background in Early Childhood Education & Special Education, Miss Aimee The Balloon Lady is well trained not only in the art of twisting balloons, but also in the art of making kids SMILE! Drew RipleyONTARIO CANADA – Drew Ripley

Created in 2009, Drew operates an entertainment company that specializes in one-of-a-kind Balloon Art, Décor, and Entertainment. He uses his finely tuned balloon skills to create one of a kind whimsical balloon shows, costumes and displays. Drew his performed over 1000 times in schools, libraries, event halls, and even trains, always creating laughter and delight of every new audience. Drew remains a fan of making and science, having served as Chair, then President of Kwartzlab, a makerspace in Waterloo Region.
